●● レビュー マッチョとアメリカの懐古。ストーリーは、ずさんで最悪だ。今らしくADD患者とか出ていたのには期待できたのに... 演技に至っても、最悪。こんな感じの映画が似合うミシェル・ロドリゲスの登場シーンは深読みしすぎで、フェイクに見える。けれど、今時なスピード感覚溢れるカーレースのシーンが最高にカッコいい。ヴィン・ディーゼルのマッチョな体に、男の美学のスピード感覚溢れる車やバイクの数々... 男性が好きな要素がつまりに詰まっている。しかし、その主人公であるポール・ウォーカーのルックスしかり... どこか、ジェームス・ディーンの「理由なき反抗」を思い出させられてしまう。 1949年生まれのロブ・コーエンらしい映画なのかもしれない。どことなく「サリンジャー」的繊細な登場人物と、ジェームス・ディーン的男の美学。そして、ヴィン・ディーゼルのニュージェネレーション的マッチョイズム。分かりやすくて、エンターテイメント要素はたっぷりだけど、ラストの迎え方といい、ストーリーがいまいちだったのが残念でならない。 (Reviewed >> 8/18/03) |
